Tiffany Lin Lasky, LCSW

Therapist

Hi there! My name is Tiffany Lin Lasky, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Southern California. My diverse experience in working with adults, adolescents, children, and families in multicultural settings have allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of unique challenges that people experience. I currently specialize in working with individuals and couples who have struggles with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, difficulty managing stress, life adjustment, trauma, grief and loss, and familial conflict.

A famous philosopher once said, “change is the only constant in life.” Stress and change often causes us to feel vulnerable and alone. I provide a compassionate, collaborative, and safe space to help you navigate through those changes, help you discover your full potential, and guide you towards healing, connection, and growth.

ATTENTIVE OBSERVER AND LISTENER

I believe that feeling heard, validated, and understood is crucial in the healing process of therapy. So often we feel unable to express our true thoughts and feelings, share experiences or problems in fear of judgement and criticism from others, which further put us in a place of feeling stuck. I will ensure that you are given a safe and accepting space to share your story, express your desires, your fears, failures and your triumphs. Through telling your story, we are able to observe together relationship patterns, themes and  connections within your life story, to help you gain a better sense of clarity and understanding of yourself.

SOLUTION-FOCUSED GUIDANCE

Sometimes it is difficult to find the right tools to overcome challenges that are impeding our growth. Besides providing a place to be heard and understood, I also ensure that your goals and needs are met in therapy, by supporting you in finding effective ways and utilize specific tools to resolve issues you may be experiencing.  I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I like to incorporate my areas of expertise together with yours to help you reach your desired goals. I will help you gain insight, understanding, and awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

EMPOWERING AND STRENGTHS-BASED

Instead of focusing on your weaknesses, I support you in finding the strengths that you possess or hope to build upon, and help you reach your full potential. It is often difficult to find our confidence when we are faced with adversity, stressors, and challenges in our lives. However, in our work together, we can find your confidence and sense of empowerment, while helping you learn and apply helpful skills you can utilize to overcome barriers you are facing.

In COuples Therapy

When our interpersonal relationships are secure and connected, we feel more satisfied, hopeful, and confident. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy model with couples to help address and resolve repetitive cycles or patterns that leave them feeling stuck, unheard, and disconnected. I am able to provide a safe and comfortable place for you to process and talk freely about any challenges you may be facing, and work together to find helpful ways and tools to manage them and strengthen your relationships.

How I Help

I like to utilize an integrative and collaborative approach to help you gain insight and a greater understanding of yourself. Each person is unique, through their personality, culture, experiences, and needs; I honor that individuality by providing a non-judgmental and validating space for you to safely explore and share your experiences. I utilize a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive approach when implementing evidence-based practices, such as cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and dialectical behavioral therapy to help you learn the skills to fulfill your goals and overcome the challenges you are facing.

More About Me

Outside of the office, I enjoy connecting with my friends and family through big and small gatherings that always include good food. I also love to relax by binge-watching my favorite T.V. show, organizing my home, or engaging in art and craft projects!
